Dec. 20, 2005 Petro-Canada To Sell Mature Syrian Production For $676 Million Cdn*

CALGARY--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 20) - Petro-Canada (TSX: PCA, NYSE: PCZ) - Petro- Canada has reached an agreement to sell the company holding its producing assets in Syria to a joint venture of companies owned by India's Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Limited and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for EUR 484 million ($676 million Cdn(*)), before adjustments. The sale is retroactive to July 1, 2005 and is expected to close in early 2006, subject to Syrian government consent.

Sep. 6, 2005 Fort Hills Oil Sands Project Acquires Mining Partner

CALGARY--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 6) - Petro-Canada (TSX: PCA, NYSE: PCZ) - Petro-Canada today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Teck Cominco that will see the Vancouver-based mining company acquire a working interest in the Fort Hills oil sands project. Under the terms of the agreement with Petro-Canada and partner UTS Energy Corporation (UTS), Teck Cominco will assume a 15 per cent interest in Fort Hills. Petro-Canada will remain project operator with a 55 per cent interest, with UTS holding a 30 per cent stake.

MONTREAL--(CCNMatthews - March 23) - Petro-Canada announced today that it has acquired an interest in Coastal Petrochemical, a limited partnership between La Societe generale de financement du Quebec and an indirect subsidiary of El Paso Corporation, whose stake Petro-Canada is purchasing for approximately $34 million CAD plus associated working capital and post closing adjustments. Petro-Canada will hold 51% of the limited partnership. La Societe generale de financement du Quebec owns the remaining 49% interest.

Mar. 1, 2005 Petro-Canada Builds On Oil Sands Growth Strategy

CALGARY--(CCNMatthews - March 1) - Petro-Canada today announced that it has entered into an agreement to become a partner in the Fort Hills Oil Sands Mining Project, currently owned by UTS Energy Corporation (UTS). Under the terms of the agreement, which has been approved by the Boards of Directors of both companies, Petro-Canada will assume a 60 per cent interest and become the operator of the project. UTS will own the other 40 per cent. To pay for its stake, Petro-Canada will fund 75 per cent of UTS' share of the next $1 billion of development capital, or $300 million.
