Petro-Canada has a 27.5% working interest in the White Rose project, a $2.3 billion offshore development. The White Rose oil field is located 350 km east of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada on the eastern margin of the Jeanne d'Arc Basin.

White Rose Production Life & Operations
At year end 2005, Petro-Canada increased its life of field estimate at White Rose from 200 million bbls to 232 million bbls.
Oil was successfully introduced into the process stream on the SeaRose FPSO in November 2005. The fifth production well at the White Rose oil field began producing oil at the end of June 2006 and has increased reservoir deliverability to approximately 110,000 barrels of oil per day. A sixth production well is scheduled to come on stream at the end of 2006. The development plan for the field includes the drilling of 19 to 21 wells.
Chartered tankers transport White Rose production directly to markets in Eastern Canada and the U.S.
